Assistant Producer

Petroglyph seeks an Associate Producer to be responsible for overseeing specific aspects of development on one or more projects as determined by the Senior Producer. This position supports producers and assists the team by managing and executing a variety of tasks related to the development of assigned projects or functional groups, from concept to release. Typical tasks include scheduling and tracking team member tasks and assets, reporting status, identifying and reporting risks, assisting in ensuring adherence to schedules, coordinating with resources throughout the organization to ensure successful completion of assigned projects.

Duties Include:

 

  • Lead and drive the design and gameplay development.
  • Partner with the producer and the development team to ensure on-time, high quality delivery of the project.
  • Internal management of art, design and software development efforts, keeping the product development on schedule.
  • Maintain and enhance necessary processes and procedures for product development.
  • Participate and record notes for regular meetings with the project team to discuss status, resolve issues and share information.
  • Help facilitate QA management and direction for responsible projects.
  • Create, maintain and drive the schedule assuring all tasks are completed and on time
  •  

    Requirements:

     

  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing internal teams within the video game industry with 2+ shipped titles.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct a team through all phases of the product development process, from pre-production to shipment.
  • Proficient knowledge of one or more of the following game development disciplines: 3D art, design, programming, project management and scheduling skills.
  • Understanding of issues facing various types of game play, artistic and technical considerations, and the ability to forecast the ramifications of decisions made during the concept/pre-production phase.
  • Strong written, communication and presentation skills
  • Must be an avid gamer and have an in-depth knowledge of gaming cultures and in particular RTS titles.
  • Experience managing communication between internal and external worldwide partners
  • Experience for project tracking software such as Jira and MS Project.

    Game Programmer

    Petroglyph seeks a mid to senior level game programmer to join the End of Nations team. A programmer in this role will work closely with the lead programmer, designers, artists, and musicians with a great deal of autonomy to develop new systems and gameplay. Roles often shift, and programmers will work on a variety of tasks and can learn new specialties.

  • Design, implement, debug and document new game systems and tools in C++
  • Must create high quality, high performance code
  • Follow coding standards and best practices
  • Provide accurate time estimates for tasks and work within those constraints
  • Work cohesively with a team of programmers, artists and designers

    Requirements:

     

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4 or more years of Database, C# or C/C++ experience.
  • 2 or more years of game industry and networking experience highly preferred.
  • Must be an avid gamer with a passion for creating great games
  • Ability to work independently and to be self-directing.
  • Able to work occasional long hours.
  • Experience with Python and Java preferred

    Senior Network Engineer

    This position is for a senior software engineer who will focus on network communication, cross-server player interaction, persistence mechanisms, anti-cheating and security measures, server scalability and load balancing, optimization, and implementation of new game features.

    The server engineer will work closely with the lead engineer to development and implement the server architecture.

  • Experience with Client/Server architectures
